생일축하해 오빠.......


selamat panjang umur anakku.
dua belas mei dua ribu enam, oh si anak millenium katanya
gak terasa udah 6 tahun buah hati pertama kami
coba kuhitung dulu sudah berapa jauh kamu melangkah
depok, amsterdam, gothenburg, stockholm, singapore, seoul, gyeongsan
waah... udah banyak juga ya tempat yang kau kunjungi
walaupun sepertinya masih terlalu kecil,
semoga banyak makna yang terambil dari tempat-tempat itu
semoga nantinya kamu juga sempat mengunjungi rumah Allah nak.

maafkan ayah gak bisa kasih hadiah mainan yang indah...
cuma buku sebagai sumber ilmu
bekal kelak di hari depanmu

    As a veteran of Somalia, Bosnia, Afghanistan and Iraq...over these last few months...I've wondered to myself, "Is it possible to reduce the amount of hatred and violence in our world?"

    Last week, before going to sleep, I began asking myself a lot of WHAT IF questions.

    The central theme behind my thoughts were neither anti-war or pro-religion. My thoughts are not meant to inspire flag burning or protest signs.

    Basically, unless someone and everyone start talking about Peace...

    Even if it's just for two short minutes...

    It's possible that an unstoppable firestorm of hatred may one day burn its way across our planet.

    Instead of pointing out those differences which separate mankind...

    It's my hope that the humanity within all of us will somehow prevail...

    Even if it's JUST FOR TWO SHORT MINUTES...
